TESTIMONIALS

“My tour of the Royal Chapel of the Mohawks in the fall of 2017 was wonderful, both as an historical learning experience of its history, and the story each of the beautiful stained-glass windows told the visitor. My guide for my tour was very knowledgeable, and her presentation and enthusiasm in it was evident and left me with a hope that someday I might be fortunate enough to return for another visit.  It was easy to see why this lovely historical little place of worship has played a very important role in the life of the Six Nations in the past and will continue to be so treasured by it for generations to come. A MUST for anyone visiting the Brantford area of Ontario or just passing through to take the time to visit and enjoy this lovely and friendly historical treasure.”

“On October 21, 2017, 17 members of All Saints Church, Erin visited the Mohawk Chapel. We were met by Charity, an excellent interpreter, who explained the history of the Chapel, the stories behind the modern stained glass windows and the Chapel's connection to the Mohawk Institute Residential School. She led a most interesting and frank discussion about the meaning of reconciliation from the perspective of the Six Nations peoples - a very fitting and moving conclusion to our day at Woodland Cultural Centre, Kanata and the Chapel.Thank you so much!”

“I liked the chapel because we did an I spy mission for fun and I got to find the “Peace Tree”. I heard the Creation Story. We did centers and my favourite center was the fur one. I got to feel the fur and the deer hide, wolf, and fox fur were my favourites. That is why I liked my visit to the chapel.”
